Happy Juneteenth!

As we head into the three-day weekend, we are reminded of the new holiday being adopted by the NYSE and Nasdaq. Juneteenth (June 19th) commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Texas were told they were free. A century and a half later, we recognize Juneteenth as a federal holiday across the United States and we take the day to celebrate the African-American community and reflect on why we celebrate this great holiday. At Griffin Asset Management, we would like to wish everyone a safe, healthy, and enjoyable Juneteenth holiday!
